Product Description
EPS is a new type of power steering device that uses an electric motor as its power source. Compared to the widely used mechanical hydraulic power steering and electro-hydraulic power steering systems in traditional automobiles, the electric power steering system eliminates all hydraulic components, resulting in lighter weight and more flexible placement. It is more suitable for new energy vehicles and is gradually replacing traditional hydraulic and electro-hydraulic power steering units. The EPS controller collects measurements from various sensors to obtain the steering force applied by the driver to the steering wheel, the steering wheel angle, and the vehicle speed signals. According to the EPS control strategy, it calculates the target assist torque and converts it into a motor current command to control the motor to generate the corresponding assist torque. This assist torque is amplified by the reduction mechanism and acts on the mechanical steering gear to assist the driver in overcoming the steering resistance torque, achieving vehicle steering.
